Sept 29th: Wipe Away The Blues

Our partner, in association with The Boise Blues Society, The Boise Philharmonic, The Idaho Diaper Bank and
The Downtown Boise Neighborhood Association announced today that they will host THE WIPE AWAY THE
BLUES FESTIVAL. The daylong outdoor Festival will be take place on September 29th, 2018 from 11:00am to
7:00pm at Jack’s Urban Meeting Place(JUMP 1000 Myrtle St.). The WIPE AWAY THE BLUES FESTIVAL will
feature six local blues bands and a special performance from the Boise Philharmonic.
Attendees are asked to bring at least one package of baby wipes as a donation to the Idaho Diaper Bank.

A diaper bank is only successful with the support of the community and its partners.  In order to be sustainable, we ask our nearly fifty partners to help us spread awareness of #DiaperNeed and to help us fundraise.  All the diapers from drives and funding from donations goes right back into purchasing diapers and running the warehouse that supports these agencies.

One of our partners, the new day shelter for women and children, Astegos (Greek for homeless) has made the Idaho Diaper Bank its focus for its Wipe Away the Blues Festival Saturday, September 29th at JUMP in downtown Boise.  Attendees are asked to bring a pack of diapers or contribute towards a goal of 12,000 packages of wipes that will be distributed to all our partners throughout the next twelve months.

We are inviting our partners and agencies who are serving the poor to set up tables to let the public know about their incredible missions.  Please email me at to receive a request form.

Our partners have hosted diaper drives (virtual and real), held brunches, collections, and other fundraising events to help support Idaho Diaper Bank, but this is the first concert!  And what an endeavor it is.  We hope you can all join us for a wonderful day of music, fellowship and of course raising funding for Astegos and wipes to keep babies clean, dry and healthy!
